Inappropiate material and product selections decrease the efficiency of ships and industrial plants. It causes unplanned downtime and increase in operating costs. In addition, the time and effort spent on unplanned downtime is a serious problem for maintenance engineers.
Apart from the economic aspect, the sealing problems experienced in our ships and facilities result in negative circumstances in terms of carbon emissions, fugitive emissions and environmental pollution.
Therefore, in line with the technical and engineering training we received, we set out with the aim of providing the most accurate engineering solution at optimum costs in sealing, bearing, fluid transfer and vibration isolation fields in which we specialize.

Message from Our Founder
Whether it is a ship or an industrial facility, maintenance teams make great efforts to keep systems and equipment ready at all times. Another issue that challenges maintenance teams is budgets. For maintenance teams who are responsible for keeping equipment reliability at maximum levels while staying within budget, maintenance of industrial facilities and ships, availability and working with all systems at the performance they are designed for requires intensive knowledge and experience. SEM Industrial was founded by mechanical engineer Onur Özgen to provide services in the field of critical sealing, bearing and fluid control in ships and industrial facilities.
Our founder, who worked as a second engineer and chief engineer on various ships and as a design and field engineer in shipyards between 2004-2017, worked in product management at Borusan Cat between 2017-2019 and as Business Development Manager at James Walker Turkey between 2019-2023. He decided to establish a company in order to transfer his experience in the sealing field, especially at James Walker, to more engineers.
